ELECTRIFYING A BARB WIRE FENCE
If Rick isn't on the tractor farming he is fencing. We have approximately 100 acres to fence just to get the parameter fenced, then there will be several acres of cross fencing.

Running fence around an existing fence can be tricky, especially when you are running five strands of barb wire and then electrifying it. |
Rick attaches an insulator to the brace post by running the wire through the insulator first and tying it off. |
He then runs the wire around the insulator and ties it off. This wire will be stretched and attached to t-post with insulators and then electric connected to it. |

Using a barb wire unroller, makes it easier for one person to run wire and it is safer on the hands. |
Rick will use fence stays to help strengthen the fence plus we use fewer t-post . |
A fence stretcher is a must when working with barb wire. Rick attaches it to the bumper of his truck to use to pull against. |
We will post more pictures as we complete our projects.
